What is the dress code?

Smart – think effortless Riviera style.
Swim shorts, sandals, and sportswear are a no-go.
Guests in local dress are welcome to join us until 12AM.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We don’t like rules, but it’s best to book ahead. We’ll always try to accommodate walk-ins, though it may come down to a little luck and good timing.
On weekends, dinner bookings are for 2 hours and 30 mins – plenty of time to eat, drink, and cause a little trouble.

What are your opening hours?

Opening hours: 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Kitchen closed with exception of Bar Bites menu: Weekdays 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

What is the policy regarding age and family?

Children are welcome for lunch and dinner until 9pm, when the evening takes a more grown-up turn.
From 10 PM onwards, it’s adults only – 21+.

What is your cancellation policy?

When you make your reservation with us, we’ll ask for your credit card details – you can share them online or over the phone, whatever works for you. Then, we’ll just verify your card with a charge of AED 0.5 which is refunded right away, and that’s it. We delete all card info after your visit. We’re not that crazy.
If you like to go with the flow, we get it. You can cancel your booking by 3 PM on the same day if it’s for dinner, or by 3 PM the day before if it’s for lunch. No harm done. But we also want to make sure we can welcome as many people as possible. If you cancel after 3 PM, we’ll need to charge a late cancellation fee of AED 100 per person. And if you ghost us completely, there’s a no-show fee of AED 200 per person. You wouldn’t do that to us, would you?

Big parties are what we do best. For groups of 12 or more, we’ve put together a set menu with all the good stuff. If you’d rather go à la carte, we’ll just ask that you pre-order your dishes so we have everything just right when you arrive.

We want to sit outdoors, how does this work?

We cannot guarantee that guests will be seated outside. However, we take note of all seating requests and try our best to accommodate.

How can I amend my booking?

Easy. Just open your confirmation email and amend it online – or reach our reservations crew at +971 4 832 6177 or reservations@sonofafishdubai.com

Do you offer valet parking?

Self-parking is free for the first 3 hours and can be validated at reception – spaces are limited and go quickly.
Valet is on us for all guests. Valet is located at the Son of a Fish entrance.
Arriving by boat? You’re welcome to dock with us – just let us know at least 24 hours before your reservation.

Do you have a minimum spend?

Lucky for you, we do not have a minimum spend.

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

Of course. Just let our team know in advance, and we’ll make sure you’re looked after.

What if I am running late?

Since we love you, we’ll hold your table for 20 minutes. After that, we’ll try our best… but no promises. Call us if you’re stuck in traffic; we’ll always try to help.

Is smoking allowed?

Yes. Smoking is permitted at the bar and outdoors until 12 AM. After midnight, you’re free to light up anywhere you like. Cigars are only permitted after 12AM.
